You’ve been waiting for months! Celine Through the Eyes of the World «Deluxe Edition» is now on sale! The 2-DVD set contains both the documentary in its 3-hour version and Celine’s August 2008 show in Boston. A French version « Céline Autour du Monde » including the French Montreal show is also available in France and other French-speaking countries. This set is to be released tomorrow in Italy, but Canada and the USA will have to wait until May 24th.

The documentary was directed by Stéphane Laporte and produced by « Productions J » (Julie Snyder). The concert-DVD was directed by Jean Lamoureux (also with « Productions J »).

The package also contains a special 52-page booklet as well as a few postcards. The cover shows Celine with a South-African choir at the Johannesburg Coca-Cola Dome (during the tour’s first concert, on February 14th 2008). There’s no doubt this « Deluxe Edition » should not be missed!

The Taking Chances World Tour is the second highest-grossing world tour ever for a solo artist (and the 9th, solo artists and groups together). This tour was preceded by Celine Dion’s Las Vegas extravaganza, A New Day (723 shows with 4200 spectators each, 5 years in a row) and it was Celine’s first World Tour since the 1999 Let’s Talk About Love Tour and the 1997 Falling Into You Tour.

Despite being mostly inactive since March 2009, Celine is still topping the charts. The Los Angeles Times proclaimed her « Artist of the Decade » (2000-2010), mainly thanks to A New Day and the Taking Chances World Tour and most recently, a poll named her America’s favourite singer!

To finish with, a few chart positions… The Through the Eyes of the World DVD released earlier this month has already reached the first to third position in 9 countries (including the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Canada and Belgium) and it lies between the fourth and seventh position in 4 other countries (including Italy, Switzerland, Finland). Regarding the Taking Chances Tour CD/DVD, it has reached Top 10 in 8 countries (#2 in Switzerland, Ireland, Finland, Canada, #4 in Sweden, #5 in France…).
