Merry Christmas to all the Red Heads!

2011 is coming to its end… With great joy and pride, we are saying goodbye to one of our most beautiful years within the short life of our organization so far.

Let’s take a look at what happened during 2011:

• “The Red Heads have Got Talent”: more than 100 candidates to this contest, followed by more than 20 000 fans, featuring an exceptional premium jury (Nicole Coullier, Véronic DiCaire and Laura Landauer, to whom we again want to express our warmest gratitude). The great winner was a talented Greek fan, George, who earned a beautiful 555 $! This contest was organized to honor Celine’s Las Vegas comeback, enabling us to wait for our diva, while celebrating her.

• Las Vegas 2011: the most highly anticipated mission of this year, gathering more than 100 fans from around the world, meeting in Las Vegas to finally see our idol again: Celine Dion ! The Las Vegas premiere was just so intense and beautiful, it’s been such a wonderful journey… On top of which, we had the immense privilege to attend Celine’s sound check, an exceptional private gift to the Red Heads, a moment we’ll cherish forever. But this adventure has also been the opportunity for many of us to embark into new friendships and to prove how united the fans can be. Celine’s comeback in Vegas has proved to be immensely successful. For sure, 2011 will have been a great year in her career. There are no words to describe how grateful we are to her and her team, for giving so much love.

• The Red Heads Network « Contest »: for the first time, we were focusing and enhancing on “networking”, while introducing you to our partners. This contest took place during several days and was the opportunity to make you win 30 prizes on all of our partner’s Facebook pages. For the first time, a number of different partners have showed their support to our association. What a perfect way to have fun altogether, while strengthening our network! Thank you so much to those who acted as the sponsors to this first edition of the contest, showing how much they can be relied upon in terms of generosity.

• Véronic DiCaire’s Belgian comeback : a mission directed by the Belgian team, inviting more than 50 Red Heads from all over Europe to gather in Belgium to celebrate our favorite impersonator, Véronic, who is managed and “protected” by Celine and René. Again, she’s seen that the Red Heads are always there to show support and encourage her. What a great reward it has been to attend her private soundcheck and be able to talk to her for a few minutes. This has been the opportunity to close the year in a perfect manner, while making our community grow again.

We owe these achievements to all of those who are working on a daily basis to organize, communicate, prepare, think… Those who translate, draw, update, manage the web presence, the online store… Those who GIVE. That team is regularly growing, with the arrival of new talents, giving time and intelligence, so that this group can shine and reach its goals. For you, for us, for Celine! Let us particularly mention Celine City, who recently gave birth to Celine City Italia, a beautiful community of Italian fans, which is growing every day, thus offering an impressive and incomparable intermediary.

To finish with, this year also has strengthened the feeling we had at the very creation of the group. Our wish for 2012 is to go even higher, do even better! We will reach that goal thanks to your help, creating even more fantastic projects, dazzling Celine, celebrating her around the entire planet, letting us live our passion with joy and happiness.

YOU decided and we heard it: 2012 will be OUR year. We accept to altogether address the challenge in order to make 2012 a great year!

The end of an era, yes… the beginning of a new creative inspiration for sure!

As a special edition from the Carrefour shops, this book is only sold in France in limited quantity. The book contains a hundred of pictures – some of them are new – taken during concerts and tv shows, on glossy paper and big format. It tells the amazing life of this little girl from Charlemagne who has become the most famous Diva on Earth. It also contains an alphabet book of the best songs (according to the book) and a best-of CD.

3 Boys and a new Show

We’ve been waiting for October 1st to come for so long ; indeed, tonight will be broadcast for the first time « 3 boys and a new show » on OWN, Oprah Winfrey’s new network.

This 90-minute long documentary will take us months back when Céline was preparing her return on the famous stage of the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, right after giving birth to her twins, Nelson and Eddy. Céline lets us enter into her privacy and discover how she succeeded in combining her family life and the preparation of a new show… this will probably be a very touching moment!

Watch it:

– Saturday, 1st of october in the USA at 9pm ET;

– Sunday, 2nd of october in Canada at 9pm ET.

Céline & Maxime Le Forestier meet in Vegas

Once again, The Red Heads did it for you… below is the video of the meeting between Céline Dion and Maxime Le Forestier in Las Vegas. Maxime Le Forestier has written one of the songs that will appear on Céline’s upcoming french album, named « Moi Quand Je Pleure ». And for the english-speaking fans… the english translation of the whole interview!

 

 

TRANSLATION

Maxime Le Forestier uses the opportunity of being in San Francisco to make a detour via Las Vegas… He’s just written a song for Céline Dion’s next album… A good excuse to work a bit on the lyrics with her and make some final adjustments on the words…

« I love to write for girls because it’s very different from me, so it enables me to say things in a way I would not use for my songs…

Céline Dion, it was at an editor’s instigation, called Jean-Phillipe Allard, who knew Céline Dion was looking for some songs and who offered me to join with Stanislas, Stanislas who produces a very joinful, very lively sound, very funny, like that… And as I write rather dark lyrics, he said to himself a combination of the two of us would be interesting…

– Good Evening !!!

– Good Evening Céline!!

– Allo, how are you?

– Thanks for receiving me!

– Well that’s a pleasure !!! In my Las Vegas dressing room… It’s not blue… (Maxime LF is know for his song ‘the blue house’)

– But I’ve got some paint remaining from the house, if you want we can do something tomorrow…

– After the show we’ll talk about it

– Shall we sit down?

– That’s a lovely, magnificent clap, I’m going to hire you as the clapperboard man… How is it working, am I the one having to question you?

– Well it’s everything is fine, the house has been repainted, your song is finished

– I can’t wait for recording the title… You know, we’re so dependant from composers, us, who do not write our own songs, I don’t write my own songs… So in a way I’m always at the mercy, in a way, of jewels and of songs who are going to bring me again, make me live a nice path…

– Today in Vegas, you sing mainly in English right?

– Mainly in English

– Sure

– Yes, but I do interpret a Jacques Brel song…
It’s not a “little” song “don’t go away, don’t go away, crying, it’s such an extraordinary song that I was afraid of taking the responsibility to sing it…

The song Céline Dion has chosen is called “Moi quand je pleure” (Me when I cry), in fact it’s a portrait, of her, but a bit as a caricature, I’ve always seen Céline crying, in all the interviews, since she’s been 14, she cries easily, and TV hosts have not restrained themselves from “pushing the button” so I depicted a girl crying, Niagara falls.

– I’ve always seen you as being very emotional, but emotional nearly in excess…

– I think people know it anyway

– Yea they’re aware of it now

– Open book, she’s always crying, she’s happy, she’s happy to cry, she cries because she’s happy, etc. But the important thing is honesty, is to be honest, it’s to be the true person who you are… And… This song for me, it made me smile a bit, but it touched me above all…

– You know it already!!

– Well not all of it but…
Don’t make any mistake with the wires because the dress […] [= may fall]…

– When I do a song for someone, I like to make it custom-tailored, really I don’t want ANY word to disturb you, I’m ready to change everything, if just one word is not okay for you, because I do it for me, if one word annoys me I change the whole song.

– You see, and me, I like the surprise…

– oh ok, and me I can’t work with…

– I like the surprise, so I like to have a present offered to me, and be very surprised, and if something is not fitting, when recording the song, well, after that we work on it together…

– Don’t hesitate ok?

– I promise!!!

– Obviously!

– It’s not the first time in Vegas?

– No it’s not my first time in Vegas

– You lived in L.A. were you coming here often?
