Long life to The Red Heads (they did it!!)

It has been about two years since you saw the birth of The Red Heads, a group of Céline Dion fans that are a bit crazy in their kind. Some of you have followed our events since the very first day, others joined us a bit later or even a few days ago.

Since the creation of the group, events crazier and crazier each time have followed on and you have been the witnesses, but especially the actors of this story that is ours. Remember that journey to the other continent, that welcoming firework. Remember the first time you wore the cap, that long night spent painting this damned white sheet… remember that huge concert hall, just for us… for us and for her. That woman we dream about and whose eyes met ours for the first time. Remember that run in the sand, the thumping sound of the engine, that proposal… remember that day waiting in the line, that evening around a table, images on the big screen, around you they laugh, they cry. Meetings, meetings, meetings ! And since then… friends.

Each of us cares so much about The Red Heads, and this is our strength. Our number keeps increasing, fans from all over the world greet and support us. Even stronger, She knows everything about us, about our story, our projects.

And it is to keep living our passion as much as possible, to keep taking up even bigger challenges, to be up to our ambitions that we have taken a decision that means a lot.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to announce you that The Red Heads are entering a new era. The website was a first step, but it is nothing compared to what is coming up, under the following designation: The Red Heads, non-profit organization…

Legends of autumn

« Here the autumn ends bringing back the rain… »

Autumn rhymes with the fall of leaves from trees, chestnut battles or Halloween costumes. But autumn is also usually the season that Céline chooses to visit her French fans. Indeed, the legend is that october rains and november cold go with the comings and goings of Céline in Paris, and it is very often with their down jackets and duffle-coats that fans wait to approach her.

Years go by and the legend continues. Therefore the years 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2002, 2005 or also 2007 were not an exception to the rule. The recording of the D’Eux album, concerts in the Zénith, in Bercy, Star Academy, Christmas shows with Michel Drucker … what do all these events have in common? They occurred in autumn.

This year again, with 2 albums planned before the end of the year and a new show in Las Vegas to promote, it seems like all the ingredients are gathered for the legend to repeat…

Our group « The Red Heads » has been existing for more than 2 years now, and it is thanks to each and every one of you. There were events and meetings, thanks to which we have got wonderful memories stuck into our minds and hearts for a long long time…

That is why we are asking you today to share your story, your journey, your Red Heads experience! How did you learn about the group, what motivated you to embark on this adventure and to join us? Your story is interesting for us and it will enable future group members to better understand the Red Heads phenomenon. It will be featured on a whole new section of the website, which we will be creating, including photographs. This will be really nice for visitors wanting to know more about us.

17th May 2010, Celine Through the Eyes of the World « Deluxe Edition »

You’ve been waiting for months! Celine Through the Eyes of the World «Deluxe Edition» is now on sale! The 2-DVD set contains both the documentary in its 3-hour version and Celine’s August 2008 show in Boston. A French version « Céline Autour du Monde » including the French Montreal show is also available in France and other French-speaking countries. This set is to be released tomorrow in Italy, but Canada and the USA will have to wait until May 24th.

The documentary was directed by Stéphane Laporte and produced by « Productions J » (Julie Snyder). The concert-DVD was directed by Jean Lamoureux (also with « Productions J »).

The package also contains a special 52-page booklet as well as a few postcards. The cover shows Celine with a South-African choir at the Johannesburg Coca-Cola Dome (during the tour’s first concert, on February 14th 2008). There’s no doubt this « Deluxe Edition » should not be missed!

The Taking Chances World Tour is the second highest-grossing world tour ever for a solo artist (and the 9th, solo artists and groups together). This tour was preceded by Celine Dion’s Las Vegas extravaganza, A New Day (723 shows with 4200 spectators each, 5 years in a row) and it was Celine’s first World Tour since the 1999 Let’s Talk About Love Tour and the 1997 Falling Into You Tour.

Despite being mostly inactive since March 2009, Celine is still topping the charts. The Los Angeles Times proclaimed her « Artist of the Decade » (2000-2010), mainly thanks to A New Day and the Taking Chances World Tour and most recently, a poll named her America’s favourite singer!

To finish with, a few chart positions… The Through the Eyes of the World DVD released earlier this month has already reached the first to third position in 9 countries (including the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Canada and Belgium) and it lies between the fourth and seventh position in 4 other countries (including Italy, Switzerland, Finland). Regarding the Taking Chances Tour CD/DVD, it has reached Top 10 in 8 countries (#2 in Switzerland, Ireland, Finland, Canada, #4 in Sweden, #5 in France…).

Don’t wait! You’ve got to experience the thrill of this tour again!

Coffee table book… come on!

Céline has been away for only one year but the last months have been marked with all kinds of announcements and releases. After all… we have not had the time to be bored! With the photo book of the tour « Céline Autour Du Monde » from Gérard Schachmes, the collector version of D’Eux , the movie « Céline Through the Eyes of the World » which was even released in theaters, and the DVDs that have just been released, we are happy to announce you that a new large-size book is very likely to be released in the coming weeks.

It would seem like this new work is what we call a « Coffee table book », a luxurious and prestigious « art déco » book, more designed to be exhibited and leafed through than read. Full of new pictures that have marked Céline’s career, this unique release should be published in only 500 copies in France, and on the good will of management teams in other countries.

Its author is a photographer who has had the chance to follow Céline for a few years, and who has kept preciously these clichés to offer them now in a collector that is likely to contain some wonderful pictures.

Let’s be brave ! And wait wisely for dionien news to be announced…
