Since the end of her last tour in February of 2009 and an important TV show in Quebec at the beginning of March 2009, Celine’s public appearances had become rare. At the end of 2009, she was seen at the Disney Christmas Special on American television. At the beginning of 2010, she gave an interview to Michel Jasmin, was on Oprah and on Larry King to talk about the movie and the DVD’s that would be released during the first semester, and she sang at the Grammys and participated in « We are the world 25 for Haiti ».
Then, there were the photos and the generous and highly anticipated interview of pregnant Celine, more beautiful than ever, both physically and in her soul, marked by serenity, which brought so much joy in our hearts. And the birth of her miracle twins, on which the entire planet reported.
During these months, we, the fans, we have been happy to regularly see our idol again, who kept her book open for us. Her happiness to be a mother again moved us so much and reflected on us.
But we also had « 2011 » in our minds… 2011, the year of Celine’s returning onstage, for a brand new show. We have been patiently waiting for that particular year. Some months were so long… Those who will participate in the big Vegas adventure have also actively prepared for 2011…
February 2011… HERE WE ARE!!!! And again that’s an intense happiness shining on each and everyone of us, just pure excitement!!!! The rhythm is getting faster, the news are coming… It’s pure frenzy!!! The most wonderful announcements are made. They are describing Queen Celine’s highly anticipated return. Yes, Queen Celine, a Queen giving us so much:
– Yesterday, February 16th, Celine left Florida for several months. She first flew to Chicago in order to tape a special at Oprah’s! With 27 times on the show, as Mrs. Winfrey indicated, Celine is the guest with most number of participations in what is the most important talk show of the world. The show will air next Monday.
– Following this, Celine and her family (notably her 3 children, René and Maman Dion) immediately flew to Las Vegas, where she’s moving in in the most prestigious suite of Caesars Palace (her Lake Las Vegas mansion being refurbished). A triumphant return had been prepared for the occasion, for the star people had been waiting for months. From the airport, welcome messages were on the road to the hotel. An immense gathering, with hundreds of Caesars Palace’s employees and fans welcomed Celine « home ». Caesars Palace’s President Mr. Gary Selesner presented some red roses to Celine, who had one of her twins in her arms, the other twin being with René. Celine said she was very excited by this return and that she couldn’t wait for introducing her fans to the new show. The local media have underlined Celine Dion’s influence in Las Vegas, saying the whole city’s economy will benefit from this return, notably thanks to many international tourists coming for Celine. After rehearsals in January in Florida, she’s begining rehearsals at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace today.
– Last but not least, an exceptionnal annoucement was made, as Celine will sing for the 6th time at the Oscars, on February 27th, the most prestigious annual ceremony on the planet. Here again, this is a record. Celine already sang there in 1992, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2007.
The one we love with passion and who continues to make us crazy is definitely back. What a thrill! This really is a Queen’s return. More than ever, we are proud to be Celine Dion fans.
